As a Server, you'll be the face of our restaurant, ensuring guests enjoy a delightful dining experience with breathtaking waterfront views. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and love engaging with people, making every meal memorable.Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the industry, if you have a passion for excellent service and a friendly attitude, we want you on our team!This role is seasonal, with potential for continued employment based on performance, availability, interest in year-round work, and business needs. Extension decisions are evaluated at the end of the season and consider off-season operational demands and existing staffing levels.**At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.**Essential Functions:* Greet all guests warmly within 30 seconds of their arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.* Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by promoting daily specials and sharing your genuine recommendations and preferences.* Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen.* Efficiently assemble and deliver orders to the appropriate tables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.* Provide prompt and attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.* Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional, swift manner.* Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.* Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and the dining area.* Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards.**Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.**Required Qualifications:* Customer service experience, especially in food service or retail (training provided for those without prior experience)* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment* Positive attitude and excellent teamwork abilities* Responsible and trustworthy* Clear background check and drug screening.* Full weekend availabilityPreferred Qualifications:* Previous experience as a server or in a similar role* Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems* Knowledge of food and beverage service best practices* Enthusiasm for lakeside living and the boating lifestyleWorking Conditions:* Performs work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, as *The Grill* features covered outdoor dining areas.* Remains stationary for extended periods of time.* Communicates clearly and effectively with guests to take orders and handle guest needs.* Moves about the restaurant to deliver food to customers and carry out sanitation duties.* Moves up to 25 lbs.The anticipated pay for this position is $2.50 per hour plus tips, which are distributed through a tip pool.**Why Brunswick:**Whatever tomorrow brings, we’ll be at the leading edge.
