# Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Alaska Start Date: August 17, 2026
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 Days, varying shift times (0645-1915 or 0900-2130), weekend coverage required Highlights:

• 13-week assignment at a prestigious Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as Alaska's best hospital
• 407-bed acute care hospital with diverse case mix including trauma (MVA, ortho, neuro), bariatric, orthopedic/spine, neuro, gynecology, ENT, urology, vascular, and pediatric cases
• State-of-the-art equipment including XI Robot, Stealth, and Mazor Robot Spine systems
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including lift teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• 18 operating rooms with daily census of 40 patients across all age groups
• Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with limited call coverage for call-offs only

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license (pending licenses accepted for submission, but license must be in hand for final offer)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Extensive OR skills including scrubbing for general, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, gynecology, urology, trauma, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Experience with laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Ability to float to similar units within the hospital system as needed
