In this role, you will lead the creative vision for sweater design, driving seasonal concepts from inspiration through execution. You will combine a strong understanding of market trends, customer insights, and technical expertise to create commercially successful collections that align with Walmart’s brand strategy while pushing design innovation. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute design concepts, ensuring they align with the company's brand identity and market trends
- Collaborate closely with the product development and sales teams to translate design concepts into commercially viable products
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitor analysis
- Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and design presentations for production
- Oversee and guide the design team, providing clear direction and feedback
- Manage the entire design process, from initial concept development to final production
- Ensure all designs adhere to quality and industry standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Proven experience as a senior designer in the retail industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills across all categories
- Expert knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- In-depth understanding of current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, composition, and overall design aesthetics
