Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule

40-hour day, 4/10-hour days with call rotation

Assignment Details

Less than 1 year of experience preferred.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state
• ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• O.R. nursing experience and CNOR strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional interactions in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Advocate for patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and prioritize patient safety.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care.
• Provide thorough documentation of patient data, care interventions, and responses.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient wellbeing during surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile environments and oversee the handling of surgical supplies and specimens.
• Educate patients and families based on their learning needs and readiness.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and promote a culture of learning.
