About the Position

Job Title: CVOR CST Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years License: CST through NBSTSA Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma Experience Description: Years of experience required: 2 years. Must have Level 1 Trauma Experience. Shift hours: 06:00 - 16:30. Contract length: 13 weeks. On-call requirement: Yes, on-call after shift hours Friday and Sunday during scheduled weeks. Call requirement: Must take call at least two days of the week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on the need. Requests for time off or special scheduling must be included with the submission. Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking. The facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks. Travel pairs and trios are welcomed. Required clinical skills: CVOR experience and First Assist roles. Common procedures include Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, ASD repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, and VAD management. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The average census is 3 hearts per day. Staff may float to other units based on census and only to units they are qualified for and trained in. This role supports advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures. Candidate must be 100 miles from the facility to be eligible. Modules and additional training may be required. EMR experience of at least 1 year is required. Agency staff may be requested to float to other units or campuses as necessary.
