Position Summary:

The Information Technology Specialist 2 serves as the primary technical contact. Inthis role, you will champion the schools mission by ensuring technology remains a seamless tool for education and leadership development.You will be responsible for resolving escalated technical requests and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues with precision and speed. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can balance technical expertise with a commitment to serving our faculty, staff, and students.

Status: Full-Time / Hourly / Non-Exempt / 12-month

Responsibilities:

1. Seeks to model in speech, actions, and attitude, a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.
2. An intrinsic troubleshooter, leaning into complex issues utilizing a detail-oriented and determined approach to find solutions.
3. Must thrive in ambiguity, connect dots that others miss and take full ownership of solutions.
4. Provides elevated quality service and support for the mission critical systems and end users.
5. Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, upgrades and troubleshoots end-user and network hardware related equipment and software in order to deliver required IT support.
6. Installs, supports and maintains network devices to ensure roaming and remote user connectivity.
7. Provides second-level support for troubleshooting and resolving equipment and network failures.
8. Troubleshoots and resolves all assigned tech support requests and escalates any unresolved issues to the Director of Information Technology.
9. Continually learns new computer applications and develops a high level of operational proficiency.
10. Provides training, support and documentation to end users on new and existing equipment and software applications.
11. Performs analysis and diagnosis of complex IT problems and recommends and implements corrective solutions including coordinating on-site repairs as needed.
12. Installs, maintains and supports new IT Equipment.
13. Maintains and updates skills as required to remain proficient with respect to advances in computing technologies.
14. Maintain and uphold the religious standards of Faith Christian School to include the Lifestyle Statement, Staff Covenant and Statement of Faith.
15. Responsible to disciple, instruct and actively pray for students on our campus.
16. Responsible to reinforce a Biblical Worldview in every workplace interaction with both students, staff, and faculty.
17. Other duties as assigned that are closely related to this position.
18. On call for emergency response for equipment and software issues.

Qualifications:

• Must possess and model a personal authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and be a member of a Bible believing church.
• CompTIA A+, Network+ & Security+ preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in network operations and technical support.
• Strong hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems..
• Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN and Internet uses and typical user connectivity problems.
• Proven experience and success with LAN and WAN, implementation and support.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and Cisco Meraki Network Systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
• Understands advanced computing and network architecting concepts.
• Must have a high level of discernment and wisdom, and the ability to manage confidential information.
• Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of help desk ticketing systems and ability to document problems/solutions.
• Ability to work independently and to make decisions in accordance with the President and Boards expectations, established school policies and procedures, and the school mission and core values.
• Highly self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and a strong customer service focus.
• Ability to plan, set priorities, and implement work in a disciplined manner to keep multiple projects progressing to completion simultaneously with minimal direction.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high pressure environment.
• Excellent verbal and written command of the English language.
