Maintenance Specialist – Electrician – Journey 2/Lead The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) at Anchorage International Airport seeks a Maintenance Specialist – Electrician (Journey 2/Lead) to maintain the electrical systems across the airport, including airfield lighting, exterior building lighting, strip lighting, lift stations, pilot‑controlled gates, and other electrical controls. Responsibilities With minimal supervision, you will professionally maintain the electrical systems associated with Anchorage International Airport. Responsibilities include: Maintenance and repair of all electrical systems across the airfield and complex, regardless of weather conditions. Effective communication on company and air‑to‑ground radios. Equipment cleaning and maintenance, fixture rebuilding, locating for construction projects. Testing backup generators and conducting airfield lighting inspections. Inspecting, repairing, and replacing lighting systems in various conditions, including working on runways during whiteout or snow events. Requirements State of Alaska Fitness Certificate – Electrician Valid/current Alaska CDL Class B First Aid/CPR National Electric Code knowledge OSHA regulations knowledge Successful fingerprint‑based criminal history check and TSA security threat assessment to obtain and maintain an airport ID badge.
