Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric ER Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring pediatric and critical care experience.

Details

• Pediatric Emergency Department unit with 15 beds
• Staffed with 1 Respiratory Therapist per shift covering the Pediatric ED
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Uses standard respiratory therapy equipment
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirement
• Floating to other pediatric areas required

Requirements

• Active RRT license required if applicable
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• NRP certification required for staff caring for neonates
• Minimum 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the specialty
• Pediatric and critical care experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
• Perform bronchiolitis scoring, respiratory arrest response, noninvasive and invasive ventilation
• Work as part of a small, specialized pediatric respiratory therapy team
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates will not be considered
