About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:45 - 15:15) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active RN license required (single-state or compact) Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Experience with AAA repair, CABG, Atrial Septal Defect Repair, and other cardiac procedures. Experience with lobe resection, mediastinoscopy, thoracotomy, and video-assisted thoracic surgery. Teaching hospital experience and Level II Trauma experience preferred. Previous charge nurse experience required. Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. Description: The position involves providing care in a cardiovascular operating room setting. Shifts include day hours with a rotation for weekend and evening call. All requests for time off must be included in the submission. The facility can call off one shift every two weeks. The candidate must be able to work weekends as needed. Experience with advanced surgical equipment such as Impella and Da Vinci Robot is required. The position requires familiarity with various surgical procedures, including cardiac surgeries and thoracic surgeries. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the administration of blood products, cardiac monitoring, and wound management. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Candidates must adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards. The facility has dedicated resources for patients undergoing various cardiac and thoracic interventions.
