The Prepress Operator position at ABS Graphics Inc. is an essential hourly role that directly reports to the Prepress Manager. As a key player in our production process, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of completed electronic file outputs before they move into production.

Your attention to detail and proficiency in prepress operations will be crucial in maintaining the high standards for which our company is known. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, ensuring seamless communication and execution of projects. To excel as a Prepress Operator at ABS Graphics Inc., candidates must possess a robust skill set tailored to meet the demands of the role. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, along with expertise in Acrobat and Enfocus PitStop, is essential for managing and processing electronic files accurately. Familiarity with the Kodak Prinergy workflow or equivalent systems will enhance your effectiveness in ensuring quality production outcomes. A solid understanding of printing terminology and practices is vital, as is the ability to review and process client files while promptly addressing any potential issues.

Candidates should demonstrate reliability, dependability, and a commitment to good attendance, along with a willingness to work overtime when necessary. Knowledge of color management principles, strong quality-checking skills, and the ability to read and interpret job tickets are crucial. A positive attitude, teamwork abilities, and high personal integrity are essential for successful interactions across all organizational levels.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Acrobat and Enfocus PitStop
• Knowledge in Kodak Prinergy workflow or equivalent workflow
• Knowledge of printing terminology and practices
• Review and process files received from customer and alert PrePress Manager, CSR, Sales and/or Customer to potential issues
• Basic computer skills (email, word processing, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, instructions and procedures.
• Reliability and dependability with good attendance
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Knowledge of color management principles and correcting skills
• Perform quality checks in all stages of the PrePress process
• Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
• Must possess a high standard of personal integrity with ability to interact with all levels of the organization
