Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead enterprise procurement operations within a complex organization. This role is responsible for overseeing purchasing activities, managing strategic supplier relationships, leading contract negotiations, and driving procurement process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have experience with supplier lifecycle management, procurement systems, and cross-functional collaboration, along with a proven ability to partner with IT and business stakeholders on system enhancements and procurement transformation initiatives. Experience supporting ERP or procurement platform implementations (SAP/Ariba) is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day purchasing operations and strategic supplier relationships.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, performance management, compliance, and governance.
• Serve as the business lead for procurement systems, supporting enhancements, upgrades, and user adoption.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes, policies, and internal controls.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
• Drive procurement transformation initiatives while ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and process consistency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or purchasing experience.
• Experience with enterprise procurement systems (SAP Ariba)
• Background supporting procurement process improvements, system implementations, or business transformation initiatives.
• Strong supplier management, contract negotiation, project management, and stakeholder leadership skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, transportation, logistics, or another complex operational environment preferred.
