Rheumatologist

Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients presenting with rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis, osteoporosis, autoimmune disorders, and musculoskeletal pain syndromes. Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and joint fluid analysis to accurately diagnose conditions. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy referrals, lifestyle modifications, and surgical interventions when necessary. Monitor patients’ progress through regular follow-up appointments, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes and improve quality of life. Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals within our multidisciplinary team, including orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists, and primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive treatment approaches. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self‑care strategies to promote active participation in their healthcare journey. Stay updated with advancements in rheumatology research, treatments, and technologies to incorporate evidence‑based practices into clinical care. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Board certification/eligible with the American Board of Internal Medicine. Current unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey (or eligible for licensure). Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of rheumatic diseases. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathetically interact with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare colleagues. The hiring range for this role is $250,000-$280,000 per year. The range for this role is typically determined by several factors, including the geography in which the selected candidate will be working, and alignment with qualifications and experience. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation (bonus, etc) and/or benefits.
