The job description outlines the following requirements and qualifications: 1. **Certifications**: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification) 2. **Experience**: - At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical (MS) or Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) experience - Experience with EPIC (Electronic Health Records System) - Travel experience is preferred 3. **Skills**: - Must be adaptable and capable of caring for a wide variety of patients, including stroke, cardiac (preferably with cardiac drips), post-operative patients (e.g., orthopedic, genitourinary, gynecological, general surgery), and general medical patients 4. **License and Credentials**: - Active Nursing License verified via Nursys - Professional credentials and references as required by Ascension - Driver's License or State ID 5. **Health and Safety Requirements**: - Personal health history checks, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, 2 Step PPD OR IGRA, and others as specified - Fit Test and Influenza Vaccine (optional) - Health Statement submission required 6. **Additional Checks and Requirements**: - Criminal Background Check - Drug Screening (12 Panel) - Professional References and Employment Verification 7. **Other Professional Requirements**: - Ascension-specific onboarding and verification processes - Education verification and confirmation of assignment 8. **Preferences**: - Willingness to float onsite or to other sites within 40 miles, if needed Additionally, Ascension outlined several onboarding checklists and tests that need consideration.
