POSITION SUMMARY The outpatient rehabilitation technician assists in providing outpatient services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with SCI and/or TBI in the outpatient setting. This can include preparing and assisting patients for examination, providing transportation of patients to /from locations on Craig/Swedish campus, performing EKG, respiratory function tests, and phlebotomy. The tech participates in the implementation of the patient's plan of evaluation and care as directed by the RN or Nurse Practitioner in the Outpatient Clinic. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Maintains BLS for Healthcare Provider. Current Colorado CNA License
• Education: High school graduate or equivalent. CNA Training from an accredited program required.
• Experience: Previous experience with patients with SCI and or TBI preferred. CNA experience preferred.
• Skills & Abilities: Sets appropriate priorities for outpatient rehab care needs. Promotes team effort and cooperation. Documents legibly, clearly, and conciselyFollows oral and written instructionsOrganizes work while responding to changing demands. Communicates calmly and clearly. Perform EKG testing- (must pass competency). Perform phlebotomy skill (under direction of the lab/IC coordinator. This is based on training and a differential is paid for performance for this skill). Gathers, collates, or classifies information about data, people, or things. Reports and/or carries out a prescribed action in relation to the information is frequently involved. Talks with and/or signals people to convey or exchange information. Uses body, tools, or special devices to work, move guide, or place objects or materials. Involves some latitude for judgment with regard to precision attained and selecting appropriate tool, object, or material.
