Maintenance Technician

Rugby Manufacturing is looking for a welder. Starting wage is $22.40 and can go up to $29.30 depending on experience. Rugby is North America's leading designer and manufacturer of Class 3-5 dump truck bodies, landscape bodies, platform bodies, truck and trailer hoists, related truck equipment and accessories. Job Summary: Maintain all equipment, this includes but is not limited to: forklifts, brake presses, plasmas, welding equipment, ovens, air compressors, and electronic controls Performing preventive maintenance Completing appropriate documentation (Basic computer knowledge, such as Word, Excel, Email) Assisting with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment and offering suggestions for improvements, etc. Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Successfully passing forklift program is required. Attention to detail is vital. This includes the ability to accurately read job specifications and parts descriptions, count, rotate materials, perform basic math skills, and write legibly working. Ability to work with the business operating system to obtain information and locate job assignments. Must be a team player working with co-workers, other departments. The focus is on meeting company goals and initiatives. Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures, including: wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), completing maintenance requests and communicating hazards to co-workers and management. Prompt and reliable attendance is necessary to meet our customer needs. Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular heavy physical exertion, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending. Using the overhead hoists requires the ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs. Ability to learn multiple operations within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet job schedule, team needs, or to meet any safety recommendations. Must work at a reasonable pace and must work overtime as required to meet customer needs. Ability to walk, stand and work on concrete for hours at a time Experience preferred in repair with hydraulic ironworkers, brake presses, plasma cutters, cranes, welders and lift trucks Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Experience with the following is a plus: 480VAC power supplies, PLC and relay controls, equipment overhauls, propane fired ovens, plumbing, basic wiring (switches, outlets, lights, 480V and 120V) ABOUT US: Rugby a Subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation is located in Rugby, North Dakota.
