Job Details Position: CVICU Registered Nurse Type: Travel RN assignment Location: Springfield, Ohio 45504 Start Date: September 21, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 12-hour day shifts Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday Setting: Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU / Cardiovascular ICU Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience as an RN Current experience recovering immediate post-op CABG and TAVR patients Current experience managing Swan-Ganz catheters Experience charting in Epic required EKG exam required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire BLS preferred at hire Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, including Swan-Ganz catheter data Care for intubated patients on ventilators and support advanced respiratory needs Titrate critical drips and respond quickly to changes in patient condition Assist with post-operative recovery for CABG, TAVR, Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT patients as needed Deliver safe, evidence-based care in a highly collaborative CVICU setting Document accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team Provide compassionate support to patients and families during complex and stressful moments Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and professional nursing practice expectations Apply now for this rewarding Springfield, Ohio travel nursing job and join a dedicated cardiovascular critical care team today.
