El Forklift Driver es responsable de operar un montacargas de manera segura y eficiente para mover, cargar, descargar, organizar y almacenar materiales, productos o mercancía dentro de un almacén, planta, centro de distribución o área de producción. Esta posición requiere atención al detalle, cumplimiento de normas de seguridad y capacidad para apoyar el flujo correcto de materiales en la operación.
Responsabilidades principales- Operar el montacargas de forma segura siguiendo las normas de la compañía.
- Cargar, descargar, mover y organizar materiales, productos o pallets.
- Transportar mercancía entre áreas de almacén, producción, recibo o despacho.
- Ubicar productos en racks, áreas asignadas o zonas de almacenamiento.
- Verificar que los materiales movidos correspondan a las órdenes o instrucciones recibidas.
- Inspeccionar el montacargas antes de usarlo y reportar cualquier daño o problema mecánico.
- Mantener el área de trabajo limpia, segura y organizada.
- Apoyar en inventario, conteo de productos o preparación de órdenes cuando sea necesario.
- Cumplir con los procedimientos de seguridad, calidad y productividad.
- Reportar incidentes, daños o condiciones inseguras al supervisor.
Requisitos
- Experiencia previa operando montacargas / forklift es preferible.
- Certificación de forklift es requerida según la compañía.
- Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente de almacén, planta o producción.
- Habilidad para levantar, mover o manipular materiales según sea necesario.
- Atención al detalle y compromiso con la seguridad.
- Disponibilidad para trabajar turnos completos, fines de semana u horas extras si se requiere.
- Transporte confiable para llegar al lugar de trabajo.
- Capacidad para seguir instrucciones y trabajar en equipo.
- Puntualidad y responsabilidad.
- Buena coordinación y manejo seguro del equipo.
- Organización y atención al detalle.
- Sentido de urgencia y productividad.
