Reports to the Director of Surgery/OR. Minimum Requirements Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a surgical technology program required. Required Certifications/Licenses: Surgical Tech certification required for the state of Virginia. BCLS preferred. Required Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior facility experience preferred.
