Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients across a newborn-to-geriatric population in an Emergency Department setting
• Participate in patient and family teaching to support informed care and mutual goal setting
• Collaborate cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards
• Protect and uphold patient rights and privacy in accordance with ethical and professional nursing standards
• Adhere to standards set by applicable regulatory agencies and professional nursing codes of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification (ENPC accepted in place of PALS)
• Current TNCC certification
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with a broad patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric
• Familiarity with Paragon electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Comfort working in a fast-paced emergency environment with a 4:1 patient ratio
