Assembler PositionPower-Flo Technologies is seeking an assembler to join our New Hyde Park shop. We design and build custom switchboards and panelboards for a variety of customers.Full Time, Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM.Pay Range: $18 - $22/hourCompetitive Benefits PackageHealth coverage (medical, dental, vision)PTO and Paid Holidays401KEAPESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)Required SkillsPrevious experience or training in a shop/industrial settingMechanically inclinedFamiliar with taking measurements and working with a rulerFamiliar with assembling componentsAble to follow instructions in a proper mannerFamiliar with shop tools (hand tools, power tools, etc)Valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles as neededDaily TasksReading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a projectSourcing the materials to be used in the projectMeasuring and cutting materials to specificationsAssembly of switchboard enclosures and interior electrical componentsPreparing metal surfaces for finishingWorking with design team to complete switchgear packagesChecking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprintsPreparing completed packages for shipmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to safely use and lift equipment weighing 50 lbs.Ability to work standing up to 8 hours per day.This position occasionally requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.Exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature changes.Candidates must have a valid and clean NY State driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed.About UsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
