Restaurant General Manager

A Five Guys General Manager is responsible for leading the restaurant's team, ensuring adherence to company standards, and driving financial performance. This role involves managing operations, staff, customer service, and marketing efforts, all while maintaining a focus on profitability and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management Motivating and inspiring team to achieve goals Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training team members. Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and taking disciplinary action when needed. Scheduling and managing staff workload Operational Management Ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently. Maintaining consistent, high-quality food preparation and service. Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures. Managing inventory and controlling costs. Financial Performance Developing and executing business plans to maximise profitability. Analyzing restaurant performance and identifying areas for improvement. Monitoring financial reports and ensuring adherence to budget. Customer Service Ensuring a positive guest experience in all areas. Addressing and resolving customer complaints promptly. Creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Marketing and Sales Implementing marketing and promotional strategies to increase sales. Developing and executing local marketing programs. Building relationships with the local community. Qualifications Previous leadership experience in the restaurant industry. Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills. Ability to motivate and inspire a team. Passion for hospitality and customer service. Experience with inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting.
