Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager, Aerospace & Defense A precision manufacturing company specializing in custom structures is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across commercial and defense aerospace markets. This is a hunter role with an established customer base to build from and a clear mandate for new development and long-cycle program capture. What You'll Do Develop and execute a strategic sales plan with year-over-year growth targets Build and maintain a robust RFQ/RFP pipeline across OEMs, Tier I/II, DoD Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, customer presentations, proposal support (executive summary, cost and technical volumes), and award activities Develop capture plans for target programs and part numbers; prioritize long-term, contiguous production opportunities over transactional wins Establish and deepen relationships from buyers through decision-maker level at key accounts Support estimating and quoting teams with customer follow-up on in-process and submitted proposals Represent the company at trade associations and industry events Stay current on platform rates, new programs, customer news, regulatory changes, and competitive intelligence What You Bring 8+ years of sales experience in aerospace manufacturing Experience selling to or working with OEMs, Tier I/II suppliers, DoD programs Familiarity with government and industry regulations and portals: FARs, DFARs, FAA, SAM, JCP, etc. Strong presentation skills; equally effective in a boardroom and on the shop floor Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and customer portals Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to engage on contractual language and program protocol Organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple opportunities and internal stakeholders simultaneously #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
