American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a PACU position requiring 3 years of PACU experience and Trauma Level 1 background.

Work in the Perioperative Pre/Post MFT 1 unit supporting the overnight (OVN) population and Cardiac Cath/EP/TAVR patients

Opportunity to float and support the Main PACU as needed

Unit includes 40 pre/post beds and 9 overnight bays with embedded 23-hour short stay care

Patient ratio of 2:1 for Phase 1 care, up to 3-4 patients during 23-hour stay

Equipment used includes IV pumps, PCAs, epidurals, A-lines, tele monitoring, and TEE/CV

Epic EMR used

12-hour day or evening shifts on a night shift schedule

Every other weekend required, including scheduled Saturday days

Rotating call requirements

Float requirements to Bramhall PACU, IMC, and ICU as needed within a 25-mile float policy

Active RN license (Maine or compact) required

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Minimum 2-3 years of recent PACU experience required

ICU experience required

Pre and post-procedure experience with TEE/CV/Cath/EP OR procedures required

Experience with cardiac drips, IVs, tele monitoring, Phase 1 care, groin management, and EKGs required

Ability to read tele strips required

Trauma Level 1 experience required

Prior travel experience required

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required

Provide pre- and post-operative care for cardiac catheterization, EP, TEE cardioversion, and OR procedures, including vascular and robotic TAVR cases

Support overnight and boarder population with flexibility to assist Main PACU when not needed in MFT 1

Team-oriented environment requiring excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude

Any scrub color accepted; must be fragrance-free

Artificial nails and cell phone use on the unit are prohibited

RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion

Local candidates accepted, though bill rate differs for those within 90 miles of a MaineHealth facility

Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions

Previous MaineHealth employment within the past 12 months must be disclosed
