Job Description

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, encompassing thorough physical examinations and in-depth reviews of medical histories
• Assist with the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work closely with surgeons to create and implement individualized surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide essential intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and passing surgical instruments during procedures
• Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, planning for discharge, and educating patients

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferred completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical practice

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted certification as a PA-C
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Strong understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques
• Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and contribute to complex clinical decisions
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
