Licensed Practical Nurse- Clinic

Job Title

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Mission, Beliefs/Values, and AIDET customer service model.

Triage and rooming of patients

Must comply with keeping up with logs that must be completed for compliance by state agencies

Perform vital signs, allergies, height and weight and medication history pre-examination

Assist in patient/family education

Prepares and administers injections

Dress wounds/remove sutures

Administers cognitive testing as applicable

Documenting appropriately in patient medical record all interaction with patient in timely

Scheduling of precertification of hospital procedures

Knowledge of medication including specific dosing and under the direction of physician correctly ordering, refilling and attaining insurance approval for prescriptions

Reviews messages from physicians throughout the day and follows instructions as indicated, including contacting patients with any new instructions for care, medication information, referrals, etc.

Reviews unreconciled labs and diagnostic imaging and performs reconciliations at least daily

Reviews escripts throughout the day and submits refills to physicians

Processes FMLA, disability forms, and other applicable requests timely

Provides support and assistance as needed to patients, medical assistants, physicians, and other staff

Assists physicians with clinical procedures for patients as needed

Some administrative duties as trained and assigned i.e. Computer applications, Answering Telephones, Greeting patients, Scheduling appointments, Updating and filing patient medical records, Coding and filing out insurance forms, scheduling appointments, arranging for hospital admission and laboratory services, and handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping

Any other duties assigned as needed to help drive our Mission and abide by our organizations values
