Specimen Processor
$17.75 - $25.2 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor for its Spokane, Washington laboratory facility. The role involves preparing biological specimens, entering patient data, and ensuring accurate processing in a high-volume environment. Evening shift (4:00 pm–12:30 am) with potential overtime and weekend rotation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and introduce biological specimens into the laboratory workflow
- Transfer specimens to secondary containers and verify patient information against requisition forms
- Enter and track patient data in computer systems for specimen management
- Unpack, sort, route, and pack specimens for testing or shipment to facilities
- Document problem specimens and handle medical and chemical waste disposal
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient computer and typing skills
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Comfortable handling blood, urine, and tissue specimens
- Capacity to lift up to 30 lbs and work in protective equipment
- 6+ months medical office, hospital, or specimen processing experience (preferred)
Compensation: $17.75–$25.20 per hour, plus 2nd shift differential
