Facility Maintenance Technician

Location: Venice, FL Schedule: M-F, 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM | Local Candidates Only

Summary: We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our facilities and grounds. This role ensures a welcoming, safe environment performing general maintenance, preventative care, and emergency response as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting).
• Complete preventative maintenance and respond promptly to work orders.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor/contractor work as assigned.
• Maintain safety, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Support emergency preparedness and disaster response efforts.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with staff and leadership.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED and 1+ year of maintenance experience (healthcare setting preferred).
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Ability to read construction documents and complete reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, climb ladders, and lift 50+ lbs.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable insured vehicle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
