Solution Architect - Cyber Security / Risk || Toronto, ON - Onsite || Fulltime FTE

Location: Toronto, ON | Onsite 4 Days/Week

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect Cyber Security / Risk to support enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, governance, and technology strategy initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Information Technology, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security Architecture, Data Architecture, and Business Architecture . This role will work closely with Business Partners, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to assess current-state environments, identify risks, define target architecture, and develop scalable architecture blueprints aligned with enterprise security policies and standards.

• Assess existing business requirements, business processes, applications, and technology environments to support enterprise compliance, governance, corporate security, and policy technology strategies.

• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, capability models, reference architectures, and proven enterprise architecture patterns .

• Partner with Business Partners, IT teams, architecture teams, and vendors to document and assess Current State Architecture for business-managed applications.

• Identify, assess, document, and manage technology, cybersecurity, and operational risks .

• Ensure products, solutions, and deliverables comply with enterprise security policies, standards, controls, and regulatory requirements .

• Develop target-state architecture and provide recommendations to improve architecture maturity.

• Analyze complex business and technology requirements and translate them into scalable and secure solution architectures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture strategies and technology roadmaps.

• Present Architecture Blueprints, technical recommendations, risks, and solution options to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Participate in the day-to-day execution and implementation of architecture strategies.

• Support modernization initiatives and help drive migration from legacy platforms toward modern architecture patterns.

• Evaluate current and emerging technologies and assess their applicability to enterprise architecture and cybersecurity requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve architecture governance, security posture, scalability, and technology maturity.

• Provide architectural guidance throughout the solution development and implementation lifecycle.

• Lead or facilitate architecture discussions involving multiple business and technology stakeholders.

• Strong experience in IT development, solution design, technology architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.

• Strong understanding of Solution Architecture and Enterprise Architecture principles.

• Experience with multiple architecture domains, including:

  • Business Architecture

  • Data Architecture

  • Application Architecture

  • Cyber Security Architecture

  • Technology Architecture

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk, governance, compliance, and security controls .

• Experience performing risk assessments and identifying technology/security risks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.

• Ability to work effectively in environments involving complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities .

• Strong ability to translate technical architecture concepts into business-friendly recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture initiatives and influence technical decisions.

• Experience designing and deploying solutions on Public Cloud platforms:

  • AWS

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Knowledge of modern application development technologies including:

  • .NET

  • Java

  • Spring / Spring Boot

  • Python

  • JavaScript

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .

• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architecture .

• Experience with modern application integration and API-based architectures.

• Knowledge of public and private cloud platforms and hybrid cloud environments.

• Experience with legacy platform modernization and application transformation .

• Ability to evaluate multiple modernization approaches and recommend appropriate architecture options.

• Understanding of security considerations for cloud, application, data, and infrastructure architectures.
