Key Responsibilities

• Teach core subjects (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies) in alignment with academic standards and school expectations.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Prepare and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Monitor student progress and maintain consistent communication with families and administration.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and uphold the school's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
• Willingness to work in and support the environment of an Islamic school.

Maarif School is a Pre-K through 12th private school that operates under the auspices of the Maarif Foundation USA. With challenging curricula that meets or exceeds NJ and national standards, we teach all the core subjects in addition to Turkish, Arabic, Islamic studies, and Qur'an. We strive to foster intellectual curiosity and to raise children to be self-reliant, critical thinkers.
