Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care is being sought in Morristown, New Jersey. This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced ER setting, focusing on assessment, clinical skills, documentation, professionalism, patient satisfaction, safety, and unit-specific responsibilities. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Morristown, New Jersey
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required for pediatric ER only
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associates or Bachelors Degree Preferred
• Required Qualifications: RN license Required, 1 year experience in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department (ED) Required, Shift time: 7p 7a
• Additional Information: The position involves evaluating pre-admission testing orders, supporting completion of patient testing, and ensuring effective pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education. The RN will assess patient reactions and understanding of procedures, individualize patient care according to diagnoses and procedures, and contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient needs and changes in condition.
