X-Ray Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist takes pictures of the inside of the body to help doctors see what is wrong with patients. They work with people of all ages, including babies, children, adults, and older people. The Technologist can also do other tests, like EKGs (which check the heart) and Dexa bone scans (which check bones).

**Main Job Duties:**

- Takes accurate pictures as directed by doctors and shows these pictures to them.

- Does EKG tests and shares the results with doctors.

- Thinks critically and knows how to respond during emergencies.

- Keeps daily records and keeps the work area tidy.

- Protects customer privacy and keeps medical records safe.

- Uses computers for imaging and electronic medical records correctly.

- Checks equipment daily and documents this check.

- Does necessary tests to ensure quality regularly.

- Interacts with doctors, coworkers, customers, and their families in a friendly and professional way.

- Takes on other tasks as needed to help meet the goals of the organization.

- Maintains and improves their skills and learns new ones as necessary.

- Follows laws and rules related to their job responsibilities.

The Technologist is responsible for keeping customer and team member information private and only accessing information necessary for their job. They also report any problems or concerns to a supervisor or the Corporate Compliance Officer using the proper channels.

**Basic Requirements:**

**Education:**

- Must have graduated from high school or have a similar level of education.

- Must have completed an approved Radiologic Technology program.

**Experience and Skills:** - 1 to 5 years of experience in Radiologic Technology is required.

- Experience with fluoroscopy (a type of imaging) is required.

- Experience in surgery is required.

**Licensing and Certification:**

- Must be a registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification).

- Must have BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
