Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Utica, New York. This 13-week temporary position starts on 08/17/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a day shift schedule. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,120–$2,206 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; floating required; block scheduling not guaranteed Start date: 08/17/2026 Location: Utica, NY (Med Surg unit in hospital setting) Local rate available for locals within 75 miles Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care to adults on the Med Surg unit with a focus on post-surgical and general medical care Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with enteral feeding and NG tubes Perform routine assessments, respond to clinical changes, document care and progress in the electronic medical record (EPIC) Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other health care professionals to develop and modify care plans Float to assigned units as needed; adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and patient flow requirements Support discharge planning, patient/family education, and pain management as appropriate Requirements Active New York RN license (Nursys verification) with current status AHA BLS certification Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience; travel experience required EPIC EMR experience Driver’s license with address matching demographics RTO (reason/ciring time off) must be included at time of submission Benefits and Support Dedicated recruiter and 24/7 travel support Fast credentialing and onboarding Housing assistance Nationwide assignments Extension opportunities Local rate available for eligible locals (within 75 miles) Referral bonus up to $1,000 Comprehensive assignment support throughout the engagement
