At British Swim School of Northern East Bay, we don’t just teach swimming—we save lives! Our mission is to ensure every swimmer, big or small, has the water survival skills they need to be safer in and around the water. We’re not your average swim school—we’re all about smiles, high-fives, and making learning fun!

We’re growing our team of enthusiastic Swim Instructors who are ready to bring the energy, passion, and positivity to every lesson. If you love working with kids, making a difference, and having fun while you work, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do:

• Teach water survival skills and swimming techniques in small, personalized classes designed to give each swimmer the attention they deserve.
• Create a fun, engaging, and safe environment for swimmers of all ages.
• Celebrate swimmer milestones with big smiles, high-fives, and a lot of enthusiasm!
• Sing songs, give positive feedback, and keep the energy high—because learning should be fun!
• Communicate swimmer progress to parents and help them feel confident in their child’s journey.
• Participate in ongoing training and team events to keep learning and growing.

What We’re Looking For:

• A passion for working with children and teaching water safety.
• Someone who’s reliable, punctual, and ready to bring the fun!
• Strong communication and people skills—you’re a natural encourager and motivator.
• Comfort in a pool environment (teaching experience is a bonus, but not required).
• Lifeguard certification preferred—or be ready to earn it within 90 days of hire (we’ll help you get there!).
• Availability to work weekend mornings (8:30 am–1:30 pm) and weekday afternoons (2:30 pm–7:30 pm).
• You need to be able to reliably commute to our pool locations in  Richmond, El Cerrito and Walnut Creek   .
