Role Overview The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures independently, applying comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound principles to aid in patient diagnosis. They utilize non-ionizing ultrasonic waves, demonstrate technical expertise, and promote teamwork aligned with organizational values. Role Overview The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures independently, applying comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound principles to aid in patient diagnosis. They utilize non-ionizing ultrasonic waves, demonstrate technical expertise, and promote teamwork aligned with organizational values. Key Responsibilities Conduct ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality. Apply sound judgment and ingenuity in technical procedures. Assist with specialized OB procedures such as CVS, PUBS, and amniocentesis (preferred). Maintain documentation and operate electronic medical records systems like Epic (preferred). Adhere to safety standards and promote a team-oriented environment. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited education program meeting ARDMS prerequisites. National certification as a Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent). Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred experience with OB procedures and electronic medical databases. Strong technical skills, independent judgment, and effective communication.
