TIG Welder

Responsible for laying out and welding structural steel to build metal structures.

Responsibilities

• Weld and cut black carbon and galvanized steel, interpreting blueprints.
• Operate hand tools and grinders, and demonstrate the ability or willingness to learn basic shop machinery operations.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area in accordance with 6S leadership standards.
• Adhere to and comply with all company safety requirements.
• Read and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading basic blueprints and weld symbols.
• Measure accurately using a tape measure.
• Perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with weights and lengths.
• Operate vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment.
• Pass 3G/4G tests in Flux-core welding. Proficiency in TIG welding is a plus.
• Train new welders as part of job duties.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year welding certification is a plus but not necessary.
• Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in welding.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.
• Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled atmosphere alongside 80 other employees. The job operates on a first shift schedule from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
