Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Job description:

SandBay Primary + Urgent Care is looking for a team-oriented, patient-focused, independent healthcare Referral Coordinator for our growing organization. You will work under the direction of your practice physician and office managers. The position responsibility includes but is not limited to the following.

Customer Service

• Take patient calls and provide accurate, satisfactory assistance to their queries and concerns
• De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, offering patient assistance and support
• Collaborate with other staff to improve customer service and patient care

Referral Authorization

• Maintain a master list of eligible insurance and corresponding specialist
• Actively complete authorization requests and follow through with patients and specialist office in a timely manner
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualification:

• High school diploma equivalent or higher
• 1-2 years in medical clinics required
• Prior medical customer service is plus
• Prior medical referral authorization is a plus
• Knowledge of EclinicalWorks is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace is a plus
• Computer literate with an above-average typing speed
• Superb verbal, written communication, and listening skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
