Influencing safety assurance strategies, the full-time salaried Safety Statistician III will employ statistically rigorous analyses to evaluate and communicate the safety of autonomous driving systems while working remotely. Key responsibilities Employ statistically sound analyses to address high-impact safety and regulatory questions Bridge safety and engineering teams by translating complex analyses into actionable information Develop automated analysis workflows for continuous safety monitoring Required qualifications Advanced degree in Statistics or a closely related field (M.S. with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year of experience) Strong background in applied statistics, safety analysis, and risk estimation Experience in autonomous vehicles or safety-critical domains Hands-on experience using Python for analysis Ability to communicate statistical concepts clearly to non-statistical audiences
