Code Enforcement Officer
Arcola, Texas
Responsibilities Enforces city ordinances related to property maintenance, nuisance, weeds, trash, abandoned vehicles, and unsafe structures. Responds to citizen complaints and conducts inspections. Works with residents and property owners to bring properties into compliance, issues warnings, notices of violation and citations. Coordinates with police, public works, and city administration. Requirements High School diploma or GED (required) Some cities prefer college coursework in criminal justice, public administration, environmental health, or related fields.
