Job Description And Duties Under the direct supervision of the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic maintains all heavy equipment. Approximately 85% of maintenance and repairing of vehicles are on site. The repair and fueling of 60+ vehicles, 60+ golf carts, one diesel dump truck, and 4 diesel food trucks with refer units, a man lift, 45’ bucket truck, 2 mid-size tractors with implements, a backhoe, material handling equipment and 12+ stationary generators that supply the institution with power when there is a major power outage. Fabricates and welds heavy equipment repair components. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
