AR Specialist

Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist Location: Jacksonville, FL, 32256 Industry: Finance & Insurance Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Length: 2-3 month Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to join our finance team. The AR Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting billing and collections processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and has a strong understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities Process and post customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) Generate and distribute invoices in a timely manner Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received according to terms Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Follow up on outstanding balances and assist with collections activities Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications Prepare AR aging reports and support month-end closing activities Collaborate with internal departments (billing, underwriting, customer service) Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1-3+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or accounting experience Experience in finance or insurance industry is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred) Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr Ascendo-Resources
