Facility Overview

The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist dedicated to serving our Veterans—America's heroes! Our healthcare teams are highly skilled and focused on the needs of Veterans, their families, and caregivers.

This facility is affiliated with Loma Linda University Health Medical School, making teaching medical students, residents, and fellows a key aspect of this role. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, consultations, and prepare patients for anesthesia, including pre-operative evaluations.
• Administer anesthesia to ensure pain relief during surgical, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures, while managing affected patients.
• Monitor and restore homeostasis during the perioperative phase, as well as for critically ill or injured patients.
• Diagnose and treat painful syndromes during surgery.
• Oversee clinical management and instruction in cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation.
• Evaluate respiratory function and implement various forms of respiratory therapy.
• Supervise, teach, and assess the performance of medical and paramedical staff in anesthesia.
• Engage in administrative duties within hospitals, medical schools, and outpatient facilities to fulfill these responsibilities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives if desired.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $350,000 to $380,000 .

Work Schedule

Flexible hours are available, with options for weekday or weekend shifts, including in-house responsibilities on Saturdays or Sundays.

Preferred Qualifications

• ABA Board Certified or Board Eligible.
