Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsible for the delegation and direction of therapy services, the therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. As an educator, the therapist teaches patients, families, students, and coworkers while upholding the organization's values, compliance standards, and professional codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop detailed treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient information clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment.
• Create and follow a professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain professional licensure.
• Engage with performance improvement initiatives within the organization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8 schedule, focusing on 40 hours per week with a 60-minute evaluation and treatment session.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
