Occupational Therapist - LTS

Effective Date: August 24, 2026 - February 28, 2027 FTE: 1.0 Location: Wildwood Elementary

Minimum Requirements: Must have appropriate licensure in Occupational Therapy through the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice. Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy. Previous experience in a school setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of an educational team, including consulting with and coordinating with special education staff and general education teachers
• Experience in school setting and/or previous experience working with children
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff
• Knowledge and experience identifying Assistive Technology needs and resources

Responsibilities

• Identify the needs of assigned students with disabilities through formal and informal assessments
• Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
• Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust therapy strategies
• Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
• Attend department, school and parent meetings or functions
• Serve as district resource for Assistive Technology needs
• Other job-related duties as assigned

Salary and Benefits

Salary: Salary and benefits part of the Teacher Master Contract. Salary placement is based on experience and education level, as per district guidelines.
