Job Description
Registered Dietitian w/IL license for multidisciplinary team. Independent, critical thinker with great communication skills that practices patient advocacy while collaborating with speech pathology and other providers across care process.
Patient dx includes cancer with other comorbidities. Commonly includes obesity (breast, colon, prostate populations); diabetes/heart disease; GI complications (ostomy, IV feedings); medical nutrition therapy/symptom management. In Body 520 - body composition analysis commonly used. Provider support includes interpretation services, physical therapy, and social services. Certifications REQUIRED: RD/RDN; State License (IL) Skills/Experience REQUIRED: Adult Outpatient/Clinic; Enteral Nutrition (tube feedings); Nutrition Therapy Complications; Therapeutic Diet Orders; Cachexia; Cancer; Develop Plan of Treatment; Dietary Guidelines; Nutrient Deficiencies; Nutrition Assessments/Reassessments ; Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE); Protein Calorie Malnutrition; Refeeding Syndrome Skills/Experience Preferred: Home Health/Hospice; Short Term Acute Care; Diabetes; Diabetic Ketoacidosis; Low blood sugar; Abdominal Wounds and surgeries; Chronic Diarrhea; Crohns Disease; Hyperemesis; IBS; Post Op Gastric Bypass; Pressor Use and Effects on GI functioning; Short Gut syndrome; Acid/Base Balance; Blood Glucose/ A1C; Lipid panel; Diuretics; Immunosuppressants; Insulin; Laxatives; Radiation; Steroids; Dysphagia; Epiglottis; Mucositis; Stomatitis; Appetite stimulants; Aspiration safety; Calorie Counts; Fluid Balance; Food-Drug interactions; Food-Drug Timing; Oral Rehydration Solutions for high ostomy outputs; Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN); Assess Fluid Status; Chronic wounds; Eating Disorders; Extensive Burns; Failure to thrive; Fluid/Electrolyte Requirements; Malabsorption Syndromes; Marasmus; Metabolic Demands; Morbid ObesityVacancy posted 3 days ago
