Director / Lead Mobile App Engineer (iOS & Android)Location: 3 -4 Days per week in office / Austin, TXAbout the Role: We’re looking for a Director-level Lead Mobile App Engineer to own the architecture, development, and scaling of our iOS and Android mobile applications. You will provide technical leadership, build and mentor the mobile engineering team, and ensure our patient-facing and provider-facing apps meet the highest standards for performance, security, and HIPAA compliance.What You’ll DoLead end-to-end mobile development strategy for iOS and AndroidDefine and maintain scalable, secure mobile architectureOversee development of patient-facing and provider-facing mobile applicationsEnsure full compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data security standardsBuild, mentor, and grow a high-performing mobile engineering teamCollaborate closely with product, design, and backend teamsEstablish development standards, CI/CD pipelines, and release processesEvaluate and implement new mobile technologies and frameworksWhat We’re Looking For8–12+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on mobileProven track record leading mobile teams and shipping production appsDeep expertise in:iOS development with SwiftAndroid development with KotlinExperience with cross-platform frameworks (React Native or Flutter) is a plusStrong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)Experience with secure data handling in regulated environments (HIPAA preferred)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Excellent leadership, communication, and execution skillsNice to HaveExperience in digital health, physical therapy, or remote patient monitoringKnowledge of BLE / wearable device integrationsExperience scaling apps with real-time data or patient engagement featuresWhy UsOpportunity to define the mobile strategy from the ground upWork on meaningful healthcare technology that improves patient outcomesHigh-ownership role with significant executive visibility
