Why This Is a Great Move High exposure role in a balanced culture Real ownership of balance sheet integrity, analytics, and process improvement A team to lead, develop, and scale Exposure to operational leaders across multiple departments and business lines What You’ll Do Lead the Close & Financial Reporting Own and continuously improve the monthly close process , ensuring timely, accurate financial statements Review and analyze month‑over‑month and year‑over‑year results, identifying key drivers and explaining changes Partner with accounting leadership to prepare internal financial statements and management reporting Run Accounting Operations with a Leadership Mindset Oversee core accounting teams, including AR, AP, payroll‑related accounting, and strong accountants performing general accounting and reporting functions Lead monthly operating and accounting review meetings to address miscoding, anomalies, and trends Bring structure, accountability, and urgency to daily accounting operations Be the Analytical Bridge Between Accounting & Operations Analyze operating expenses by department and help leadership understand what’s driving changes Bring a public‑accounting‑trained lens to identifying risks, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, including senior and staff‑level talent Hold teams accountable while coaching them to think beyond transactions Create a culture of ownership, follow‑through, and continuous improvement Lead by example — prepared, decisive, and comfortable speaking up and leading meetings Strengthen Controls & External Relationships Manage the annual audit process and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors Ensure strong internal controls and disciplined documentation Partner with cross‑functional leaders to ensure accounting keeps pace with business activity What We’re Looking For CPA or CPA track required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7-10+ years of accounting experience with a mix of: Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm strongly preferred) Progressive leadership roles in industry Proven experience owning and improving the monthly close Strong analytical skills — comfortable explaining why numbers changed, not just that they did Confidence leading meetings and communicating with non‑finance leaders #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
