We accomplish this by solving difficult problems in optimal path planning, estimation, and control, as well as autonomous fault protection.We strive to work from first principles and develop powerful abstractions to maximize capability while minimizing complexity. We're looking for team members who will collaborate with humility and curiosity.Position Responsibilities:Directs the design, development, test, debugging and maintenance of software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standardsDirects the review, analyses, and translation of customer requirements into the design of software products for embedded devices and systemsConsults on code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardwareProvides consultation on integration of embedded software with hardware componentsOversees analyses, monitoring and improvement of the efficiency and stability of embedded software systemsDirects testing and debugging of software for embedded devices and systemsInfluences current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development and hardware technologiesInfluences company approach regarding software and hardware integration domainsOversees tracking and evaluation of internal and supplier software team performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standardsProvides technical leadership for embedded software project management functionsAdvises management on a wide range of topics related to the embedded software engineering environmentBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Bachelor’s DegreeAbility to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship10+ years of experience leading software development10+ years of experience leading or supporting trade studies, business case development, work transfers, and/or statement of work managementPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in computer engineering or similar engineering disciplineAbility to effectively lead, communicate and collaborate with key stake holders across multiple organizationsExperience with software architecture and design methodologies.
