Work Environment

This role is designed to be fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from home or any location of your choice. While you will primarily conduct your sessions via teletherapy platforms, you'll also have the opportunity to visit our outpatient office in Plano when necessary. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of family dynamics and individual needs, employing strong diagnostic skills to identify underlying issues impacting mental health and relationships.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic techniques that cater to the specific challenges of each client.
• Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, utilizing a range of methodologies to address complex emotional and relational concerns.
• Document therapy sessions and client progress accurately, producing comprehensive reports that serve as reliable expert evidence when required for legal contexts.
• Provide expert testimony in court cases when necessary, articulating complex therapeutic insights in a clear and compelling manner.
• Assist clients in processing grief and navigating emotional responses to life changes, ensuring they have access to necessary support and resources.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, educators, and community resources to enhance the overall support network available to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT with Solaris Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. Our clients often seek assistance in areas such as relationship discord, anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment to significant life transitions. Your role will involve understanding the unique cultural contexts of each client, promoting healing through a compassionate and strengths-based approach.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current LMFT license in the state of Texas.
• Completion of at least one year of supervised clinical hours, typically involving a postgraduate experience.
• Proficiency in delivering therapy with a strategic focus on both individual and relational healing utilizing evidence-informed practices.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with an ability to evaluate and develop innovative solutions for various mental health issues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing telehealth services is beneficial, demonstrating comfort with technology and remote client engagement.
• Previous involvement in legal proceedings as an expert witness or in drafting court-necessary testimony is highly desirable.
• Additional training in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or family systems therapy will be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
