Responsibilities

• Assess and treat communication disorders, including speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia, in patients under acute care and long-term care conditions
• Conduct bedside evaluations, screen for swallowing safety, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapy, monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust goals as needed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, rehabilitation, physicians) to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and dysphagia management; provide training as appropriate
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in patient records and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Hampshire or eligibility for licensure
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Experience in acute care or skilled nursing/long-term care settings is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and complete documentation efficiently
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adhere to assignment schedule
