Marketing Analyst

We are seeking a contract Marketing Analyst for a 12-month project. This role is pivotal in transforming unorganized data from multiple internal and external sources into actionable reports that support weekly and monthly objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video game marketing to help refine publishing processes and strategy. The position will involve owning the Gamesight attribution platform, tailoring it to business needs, and collating its data with Level Up and Google Analytics for comprehensive reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Create analytics reports for marketing initiatives to track player patterns and engagement.
• Proactively resolve discrepancies and troubleshoot inaccuracies between multiple data sources to identify meaningful trends.
• Generate analysis reports and identify optimizations for the publishing organization that track progress towards established KPIs.
• Identify missing data and build solutions for incorporating it into future analysis.
• Handle ad-hoc data requests and foster an understanding of each client's data sources.
• Bridge the expertise of analytics with the needs of the publishing organization to generate trend reports and optimization strategies.
• Document processes for how new reports are generated and identify steps for future automation.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years of online marketing, web analytics, or research experience. Direct experience in online direct marketing or online media performance analysis is required.

Knowledge: Experience in video game marketing is required. The candidate should be a marketer first, rather than a programmer or data analyst. Proficiency in creating data visualizations is also necessary.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with marketing tools like Gamesight, Level Up, and Google Analytics is required for the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding skills in R, SQL, or Python are a bonus.
• A desire to find the right data from the right sources to help explain player behavior.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $50.00 per hour. This organization offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.
